Sedation Dentistry
Sedation dentistry is a safe and effective way to calm patients prior to dental procedures. Trepidation about dental work may be caused by many factors, and we appreciate your unique situation and your feelings. Because your fears are real, and anxiety can make dental work uncomfortable, we offer sedation dentistry. Sedation can also allow a patient to endure longer procedures, or a series of procedures during one lengthy appointment. You’ll not experience the discomfort associated with long procedures when you’re under sedation.
Sedation is simply a small pill to take before your appointment. The effects of the medication will make you drowsy, so you will need transportation to and from our office. During your dental work, you will feel deeply relaxed and tired, but you will be able to respond to our questions. The following day, you will have little to no memory of the appointment, and the effect of the sedation will have worn off.
To find out if sedation dentistry can help you, schedule a complimentary consultation by calling our West Cottage Grove Road practice at 608.839.4554 or our North Sherman Avenue practice in Madison at 608.240.1001.
