Take A Look at Our Facilities
We research all advances, providing our patients up-to-date techniques and materials. We especially take
pride in our state-of-the-art infection control procedures and technology. We're confident our strict office
procedures, up-to-date technology, modern facilities, ongoing education and research will earn your trust.
Your room was thoroughly wiped with a surface disinfectant prior your arrival. The instruments for your care were first scrubbed ultrasonically. The instruments were sterilized next in an autoclave, a large, pressurized steam oven.
You can expect us to continue updating our protective methods and technology to give
what you deserve: dental health, maximum protection, and true peace of mind. |

Laboratory
Our Cottage Grove office has a dental lab utilized for preparation and
diagnostic evaluation of models of your teeth. In an office that practices
comprehensive dentistry, analysis of the entire dentition must take
place prior to treatment. This includes having accurate mofels of the
teeth mounted on an articulator. We utilize Denar semi-adjustable and Gerbach fully adjustable
instruments for this purpose. With these accurate models of a patient's dentition, we can perform procedures on models prior to doing them in
the mouth. Diagnostic wax-ups, bite modification, orthodontic movement
and other treatment modalities can be performed in the lab. A great deal
more predictability is thus gained in the final outcome of treatment.
In addition to the model analysis in this part of the laboratory, we can
also fabricate TMJ splints, nightguards, bleaching trays, orthodontic retainers, and diagnostic temporaries for reconstructive crown and
bridge procedures.
Photography
IntraOral Camera
In each room allow us to educate
you about particular conditions in
your mouth. We can also make
hard copies of these images as
well as x-ray images for
assistance in obtaining insurance
benefits. |
Digital Photography
Fujifilm S2 6.1 megapixel
cameras with marco lenses and
ring flashes allow us to immediately capture images and
load within the computer for
appropriate analysis. We can use
the images of your teeth for
communication with the dental
laboratory or for modification
with software programs. |
Digital Imaging
Software programs like image FX
or Photoshop allow us to "preview" the best that high
quality dentistry has to offer. By
utilizing state of the art computer
simulation we can show you what
to expect in your mouth if you
choose to undergo treatment with
veneers, crown and bridge,
teeth whitening, etc. |
Treatment Room
Each Room is equipped with video
monitors that pLay naturescape
themes. DVD players in each room
allow us to show you educational
modules ( CASEY ) on various forms of
treatment.
Air Abrasion Unit
With plasma-arc light curing are located in
each office. This is one of the most exciting
technologies to hit dentistry since the high-
speed drill. Our state of the art units allow
us to use a special sand directed by
pressurized air to remove small amounts of
decay, usually without the need for
anesthesia! More importantly we can then
place a composite, tooth-colored, restoration
to enhance the strength of the tooth. This
differs radically from the old standard of
removing a lot of good tooth structure in
order to retain a silver-mercury filling that
weakens the tooth.
X-Ray Units
We utilize high-speed x-ray film enabling us to reduce the amount of
radiation needed to expose the film. We utilize x-rays on an as-needed
basis. Those patients with few problems and excellent oral health will
receive fewer radiographs than those with complex conditions needing
greater diagnostic modalities.
Both offices are equipped with panoramic
units that allow us to evaluate wisdom teeth and the developing dentition
of the child. Our panoramic units deliver very little radiation.
DIAGNOdent
Each office is equipped with this new
instrument that assists in the detection of
decay. A harmless laser is directed at the
suspected lesion and a digital readout
allows us to differentiate between stain
and decay. Used with the air abrasion
technology, this allows us to detect small
cavities and treat them early. |
Doppler Auscultation
In cases where the temporomandibular
joint (TMJ) is suspected of having
pathology, we can use this non-invasive
instrument to determine to what degree
joint damage has occurred, if at all. This is
particularly helpful in differentiating
between muscle problems and bony joint
problems. Treatment modalities can thus
be targeted to the specific area. |
